A CIRANO Fellow at the head of the Observatoire de la Francophonie économique

Brahim Boudarbat, Full Professor at the School of Industrial Relations of the Université de Montréal and CIRANO Fellow, is the new Director of the Observatoire de la Francophonie économique de l'Université de Montréal.

He succeeds the outgoing director, Marcel Boyer, Emeritus Professor in the Department of Economics at the Université de Montréal and CIRANO Fellow, who gave the OFE its first impetus.

Created in June 2017 in partnership with the Government of Quebec, the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, the Observatoire de la Francophonie économique has a mandate to raise awareness of the Francophone economic space, with a focus on Africa.
