On June 1, CIRANO hosted an event powered by Avant-Garde@CIRANO, an initiative launched ten years ago to bring together and support a new generation of leaders committed to addressing the major economic, technological, environmental, and social challenges of the 21st century.
This gathering brought together members and alumni from the six cohorts of young leaders to reflect on the role of science in decision-making and how scientific knowledge can help address the challenges facing organizations, governments, and Quebec society. The discussions explored how research can inform public and private decisions and strengthen our collective capacity to respond to contemporary challenges.
Throughout the event, participants shared their experiences and reflections on the evolution of Avant-Garde@CIRANO over the past decade. Discussions focused in particular on the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue, the creation of collaborative networks among young leaders, and the development of projects that bridge the gap between research and action.
The event also served to reaffirm the mission of Avant-Garde@CIRANO: to put knowledge at the service of leadership and decision-making in order to foster innovation and contribute to the development of solutions to the major challenges of the 21st century.
