The G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting was held from 20 to 22 March, ahead of the G7 Leaders' Summit in June 2025. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss current issues affecting the stability and growth of the global economy.
Ari Van Assche, professor at HEC Montréal, CIRANO researcher and Fellow, took part in the session entitled «Navigating a difficult political environment». He discussed how political uncertainty affects trade, investment decisions and the functioning of global value chains. He also spoke about what policymakers can do to foster resilient economic growth in today's dynamic and uncertain global environment.
