Ari Van Assche is Associate Professor of International Affairs at HEC Montréal, Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Business Policy, Honorary Researcher at IRPP and Fellow at CIRANO. D. in economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, his research focuses on the organization of global value chains and the implications for trade and cluster policy. In 2017, he co-authored the book Redesigning Canadian Trade Policy for New Global Realities, which won the Doug Purvis Memorial Award in 2018.
