Promotional Simulation: On the Road to the Bourstad Challenge from December 9 to January 14

CIRANO invites those who wish to prepare for the 2025 Bourstad Challenge to participate to the simulation On the Road to the Challenge. This free 5-week activity will reproduce in condensed form all the stages of the challenge, making it an excellent preparation opportunity! Although the simulation begins on December 9, registrations will be accepted until December 31, 2024.

How to register:

3. Select Participant
4. Choose On the Road to the Challenge
5. Enter the promotional code: 2025bourstad2025
6. Complete the registration form

At the end of the simulation, CIRANO will award a prize and a $50 gift card for Simons stores to the participants who excel in the following categories: responsible investment, financial performance, and portfolio management.

Bourstad Challenge: February 10 to April 11, 2025

Each year, CIRANO, in collaboration with its main partner, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), organizes a stock market simulation challenge open to everyone.

In this challenge, both beginner and seasoned investors compete for prizes totalling $40,000. The goal is to manage a virtual portfolio of $200,000 and invest in a selection of real securities traded on stock markets. The contest is conducted online and focuses on three categories: financial performance, portfolio management, and responsible investment.

Bourstad 2025 Challenge Launch Event

As part of the 2025 Bourstad Challenge, CIRANO will organize a registration launch event in January, bringing together the challenge jury, industry professionals, and teachers. This event, marking the beginning of the contest and the opening of registrations, will be followed by a conference on the 2025 economic outlook.
