Biography

A CIRANO Researcher since 2020, Sophie Osotimehin is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the École des sciences de la gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the Paris School of Economics, University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, her research interests are macroeconomics, business cycles, aggregate productivity, innovation and technological change, and firm dynamics. She studies macroeconomic productivity and the allocation of resources across firms.
