Benoit A. Aubert is Professor of Information Systems and Director of the Rowe School of Business (Dalhousie University). He worked previously at Victoria University of Wellington where he was the Head of the School of Information Management. Previously, he held the Professorship in Governance and Information Technology at HEC Montreal. Benoit Aubert is a Fellow of the CIRANO and Associate researcher at the CEFRIO.
Benoit Aubert holds a B.Sc in Mathematics from the University of Montreal, a Master in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a Ph.D. from HEC Montreal.
His main research areas are IT and innovation processes, outsourcing, risk management, and business transformation. He published numerous articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, and reports on these topics. His work on risk management has led to software products and licensing agreements between the university and private organisations. He also published papers on trust, ontology, and health care information systems.
Dr. Aubert has a long record of collaborations with both private and public organizations. He frequently acts as expert consultant on outsourcing decisions, IT strategy and enterprise transformation.
