On June 22nd, the Quantum Technologies strategy proposal for Quebec was unveiled, co-created by Numana and various key actors of the ecosystem, including Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation, CIRANO, INO, Université de Sherbrooke, BDC. Richard Bruno (CIRANO Visiting Fellow) is a member of the Quantum Advisory Committee.

The proposed quantum technology strategy aims to make Quebec a global player in certain strategic niches with the mission "to increase the use of quantum solutions in one or two strong sectors of its economy", such as energy, financial and insurance services, transportation, or natural resources. The strategy elements presented in the proposal aim to support the growth of the quantum ecosystem, while respecting the ethical issues that will arise from the introduction of quantum technologies in society.
