In May 2019, François Vaillancourt, Emeritus Professor in the Department of Economics at the Université de Montréal and CIRANO Fellow, gave a presentation on Canadian public policy at the Comisión Económica para América Latina (CEPAL), a UN regional commission, in Santiago, Chile.

He also presented on Canadian fiscal federalism to the Comisión Federal de Impuestos (CFI), an organization of the national government and the provinces of Argentina, in Buenos Aires.
