DEPPI

CIRANO is a partner in the second phase of the Disability, Employment, and Public Policies Initiative, launched on September 21st.

The Disability, Employment, and Public Policies research project is a joint initiative of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). The goal of the initiative is to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of the labor force participation and job retention of individuals with disabilities.

Several experts in various fields such as economics, sociology, education, rehabilitation and social work are working together in this research project in order to develop policy recommendations based on ground truth. Among these experts, Charles Bellemare (Université Laval) and Guy Lacroix (HEC Montréal), both CIRANO Fellows.
