Catherine Beaudry, Full Professor at Polytechnique Montréal, Holder of the Canada Tier I Research Chair in the Creation, Development and Commercialization of Innovation and CIRANO Fellow, sat on the Expert Panel on the State of Science and Technology and Industrial Research and Development in Canada, where she represented the Council of Canadian Academies (CCA).

This latter published its report, "Competing in a Global Innovation Economy: The Current State of R&D in Canada", last April 10.
