Claude Castonguay was among the four finalists (out of 60 entries) for the prestigious Donner Prize in 2013 for his book Santé : l'heure des choix (Les Éditions du Boréal).

Donner Prize winner Jeffrey Simpson (Globe and Mail) publicly thanked Mr. Castonguay for the interviews he gave him during the writing of his book. The Donner Foundation also recognized Mr. Castonguay's exceptional career.
