Amélie Quesnel-Vallée named Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

CIRANO is pleased to recognize the election of Amélie Quesnel-Vallée as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC), as part of the 2026 cohort. On September 9, the RSC announced the election of 105 new Fellows, who will be formally inducted at its annual ceremony in Ottawa on November 13, 2026.

A CIRANO Researcher since 2019 and a professor at McGill University, Amélie Quesnel-Vallée conducts research on social inequalities in health, population health, health services and policy analysis. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Duke University, and her research focuses in particular on the influence of social policies on social inequalities in health over the life course.

Election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada is one of Canada’s highest honours in the arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. Fellows are elected by their peers in recognition of their contributions to their fields.
