Pierre-Carl Michaud opens the CPQ Summit on Quebec’s Labour Market

On November 3, Pierre-Carl Michaud, Full Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at HEC Montréal, Vice-President, Strategy and Government Relations, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, delivers the opening address at the Summit on the Future of Quebec’s Labour Market, organized by the Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ).

Under the theme “Quebec’s Labour Challenge: Between Resilience and Innovation”, his presentation sets the tone for a day of discussions focused on key employment issues in a context marked by labour shortages, an aging workforce, and rapid technological change.

The summit brings together leaders from business, government, community, and academia to collectively reflect on strategies to build a more inclusive, dynamic, and resilient labour market.

The CPQ also unveils its study “Workforce Challenges in Quebec — Immigration and Technological Innovation”, conducted by Aviseo Conseil.
