ESG UQAM's CIRANO community pays tribute to three emeritus professors

In early May, the Chair in Macroeconomics and Forecasting, the Research Chair in Intergenerational Economics and the Department of Economics at ESG UQAM organized a colloquium at UQAM in honour of three emeritus professors, Steve Ambler, Pierre Fortin and Louis Phaneuf, in recognition of their significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in economics and the development of public policy in Canada and Quebec.

A number of CIRANO researchers and fellows helped make this event a great success. Among them were Raquel Fonseca, Director of the Department of Economics at ESG UQAM and holder of the Research Chair in Intergenerational Economics, Julien Martin, holder of the UQAM Research Chair on the Local Impact of Multinational Firms, and Dalibor Stevanovic, co-holder of the Chair in Macroeconomics and Forecasting.

UQAM Rector Stéphane Pallage and the Minister of Finance Eric Girard were also present.
