François Vaillancourt, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow, took part in the work of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Official Languages at a meeting on February 26, 2023. He was present as an expert on the subject of economic development of official language minority communities.

Discussions focused on the measurement of income disparities between language groups in Quebec, the new federal policy on the number of foreign students and its consequences for francophone universities / colleges outside Quebec, and the funding of Quebec's anglophone and francophone universities.
