On April 5, 2023, Marcelin Joanis, full professor at Polytechnique Montreal, and François Vaillancourt, professor emeritus at the Université de Montréal, both CIRANO researchers and Fellows, were invited as World Bank experts to participate in a thematic session of the National Committee on Local Finance (CONAFIL) of the Government of Cameroon held in Yaoundé. 

They made a presentation on “Financing Decentralized Local Governments: Principles and International Experience”.
