Benoit Dostie holds the new Power Corporation of Canada Chair

Congratulations to Benoit Dostie who has been appointed Power Corporation of Canada Chair in Labour Relations, Compensation and Benefits.

 

Benoit Dostie is a full professor at HEC Montréal, a CIRANO Fellow and researcher since 2001, responsible of the CIRANO Pole on the socio-economic impacts of digital intelligence and principal researcher of the Innovation and digital transformation theme.

 

The Power Corporation of Canada Chair, supported by HEC Montréal's Institute for Retirement and Savings, will study the role of pension plans and benefits in the financial situation of workers and the attractiveness of employers, as well as the determinants of the labour market participation of older people and the consequences for their need for savings. 

Benoit Dostie's expertise in labor market and employer-employee matched data will help to identify in an innovative way the role of pensions and benefits in workers' financial health and employment decisions.
