Conference: Presentation of the results of the survey on Quebec's Cap-and-Trade System Registration

CIRANO

Wednesday 9 Nov 2016
From 4:30PM To 7:30PM

Researchers from HEC Montréal, Université de Montréal and UQAM presented the preliminary findings of an anonymous survey launched in the spring of 2016 to better understand the challenges and realities of Quebec's Cap-and-Trade System Registration (SPEDE). And, more specifically, to learn about the various impacts (perceptions, costs, changes in behaviour, etc.) that the system in place has had on the Quebec businesses affected.

Only the companies that responded to the survey were invited to be the first to disclose the results of this university research, which was held behind closed doors, in order to facilitate discussions. This presentation was a unique opportunity for these companies to compare their experience with that of their colleagues, and to express their views on the strengths and weaknesses of the SPEDE.

The scientific results of the survey will be the subject of a subsequent publication by the researchers.
