Organized jointly by INAF and CIRANO, Les Assises du Pôle bioalimentaire 2026 will bring together nearly 300 participants from the scientific, bio-food, government, and civil society sectors.

This strategic, invitation-only meeting will take place on November 12, 2026, at Quai 30 in the Port of Québec. It aims to create a dedicated space for dialogue and collaboration on the major challenges facing Québec’s food system.

Through conferences, presentations of scientific research, insights into international initiatives, and collaborative workshops, this event will:

take stock of the current state of scientific knowledge on several key issues in the bio-food sector;
highlight certain innovative approaches and practices observed both here and internationally;
identify, together with stakeholders on the ground, the main challenges, needs, blind spots, and research priorities;
collectively reflect on how research can better support action and decision-making.
The work resulting from the conference will inform the drafting of a white paper, which will present evidence-based recommendations to support public decision-makers and industry stakeholders in making informed decisions.
