On October 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., UQAM will host the event “Artificial Intelligence and its Challenges for Society”, featuring a dialogue between Daron Acemoglu (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Yoshua Bengio (Université de Montréal).

The event, organized by the Chaire de recherche sur les enjeux économiques intergénérationnels (CREEI), will be chaired by Raquel FonsecaResearcher and Fellow CIRANO and Principal Researcher of the Inequalities and Poverty theme, and is supported by several institutional partners, including CIRANO.
