On June 1st, CIRANO hosted the Campus USA course « Global Technological Innovation ». This course began in Montreal and continued in Washington D.C. and New York City with the main objective of studying how global technological innovation impacts our societies.

During this first stage in Montreal, students explored the ecosystem of those who make and are interested in Artificial Intelligence.

Three conferences punctuated the day with a presentation by John Parisella, special advisor for strategy and outreach at NATIONAL Public Relations, on American politics, a presentation on the US technology economy by Ana Escrogima, Consul General of the United States in Montreal, and finally a presentation on the economics of technology platforms by Thierry Warin, professor at HEC Montreal and CIRANO Fellow.
