Biography

Vanessa is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Studies at the Universidad Iberoamericana and a postdoctoral researcher at the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication at the Université de Montréal. Her research focuses on the research assessment and the publication incentives policies in Latin America.

She holds a Ph.D. in Science, Technology and Society from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a Master's degree in International Studies from the Université de Montréal. Her doctoral thesis looked into the research assessment policies of the National System of Researchers in Mexico.

Her current research interests include the career of researchers, collaborative networks and the internationalization of research.
