A CIRANO Researcher and Fellow since 2008, Erin Strumpf is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University. She is also a founding member of McGill’s Public Policy and Population Health Observatory (3po), a researcher in residence with the cancer unit at Institut national d’excellence en santé et en services sociaux (INESSS). She is also affiliated with McGill’s Institute of Health and Social Policy, Family Medicine Department, Centre on Population Dynamics, as well as the University of Montreal’s Institut de recherche en santé publique (IRSPUM). She is a William Dawson Scholar at McGill University and previously held Chercheur-boursiers (Junior 1 and 2) from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Santé.
Holding a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Economics from Harvard University, her research focuses on evaluating the impacts of health and social policies on the health and wellbeing of individuals and populations, as well as on the performance of the health care system.
