Annie Savard is currently associate professor in Mathematics Education in the Department of Integrated Studies in the Faculty of Education at McGill University. Her research interests mainly centre on the development of mathematical skills which contribute to the positive reinforcement of citizenship and community life, both from the teaching and the learning perspective.

Annie Savard taught at the elementary level for almost fifteen years, and I was an author, consultant and trainer for the Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports in Quebec. Likewise, I was a consultant and trainer for various school boards across Quebec, as well as for international research and development institutes.

Annie Savard holds a Master’s degree in Science Education and a Doctorate in Mathematics Education, both from Université Laval.
