Les effets du travail à distance sur les attitudes du personnel au travail et le rôle modérateur du soutien organisationnel : résultats d’une recherche longitudinale
The 2020 pandemic forced many people in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada, and around the world, to work remotely. Today, many of these people continue to work remotely, at least in part. A CIRANO team undertook an innovative longitudinal study using questionnaires administered to staff from several partner organizations. This report summarizes the main bivariate and multivariate results from the three phases of the project conducted in Quebec in the summer of 2022, spring 2023, and winter 2024. We mainly analyze the moderating effects of organizational support, immediate supervision, and colleagues on the relationship between the number of days of remote work per week and various attitudinal outcomes of interest to employers (e.g., engagement, productivity). Our findings provide evidence and recommendations to help employers manage their workforce in a hybrid work environment.
