The Bank of Canada appointed Paul Beaudry, Professor at the University of British Columbia and CIRANO Associate Fellow, as Deputy Governor, starting in February next year.

Beaudry will join the central bank’s policy-making governing council, which sets interest rates and oversees the bank’s financial system activities.
