Roxane Borgès Da Silva, professor and CIRANO researcher, took part in the ALASS 2025 Congress in Tunisia

The 35th Annual Congress of the Latin Association for the Analysis of Health Systems (ALASS) took place from June 12 to 14, 2025, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sousse, Tunisia. This international gathering brought together experts, researchers, and policymakers working towards more equitable and effective health system governance.

Roxane Borgès Da Silva, Full Professor at the School of Public Health at the Université de Montréal, CIRANO researcher and Fellow, serves as president of ALASS and was actively involved in organizing the event. She was present in Sousse and delivered the opening address alongside the Congress President, Professor Ali Mtiraoui.

The opening ceremony also featured speeches from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Mohamed Ben Dhiad, the President of the University of Sousse, Professor Lotfi Belkacem, the Vice-Rector of the Université de Montréal, Professor Valérie Amiraux, and the Tunisian Minister of Health, Mr. Mustapha Merjani.
