Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin, Full Professor at Polytechnique Montréal and President and CEO of CIRANO, will lead groups of experts with the objective of establishing a framework for the ethical and responsible development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Quebec. Rémi Quirion, Quebec's Chief Scientist, Julien Billot, President and CEO of Scale AI, and Sophie Larivière-Mantha, President of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, have also been appointed to lead these experts groups.

The Quebec government has mandated the Quebec Innovation Council (QIC) to coordinate a collective reflection that will help define the issues raised by AI to ensure its development and its ethical and responsible use. This transparent and inclusive consultation exercise will provide input to government authorities in the decision-making process concerning public policies in this field.
