Misinformation is a phenomenon that has strong impact on society, magnified by the rise of information and communication technology. This workshop brings together researchers who work in areas related to misinformation. The program is multidisciplinary and includes both theory and applications.
This workshop is the third in the series of conferences held at CIRANO on the economics of strategic communication and persuasion. Previous themes dealt with evidence-based public policy and ethics and incentives in scientific research; invited speakers included Guillaume Fréchette, Joel Sobel, Peter Norman Sørensen, and Andy Zapechelnyuk.
