Boat Cruise and Dinner

WHAT: Combine a delicious meal with an excursion cruise on the St-Lawrence river. This evening cruise is composed of a 4-course meal, music and perhaps a firework show. Pictures of our "Cavalier Maxim" cruise boat: picture 1 / picture 2

WHEN: Friday June 24th 2005 - our official "Quebec Day" or "Fête nationale" as we like to call it.

WHERE: Boarding starts at 6pm at the King Edward Pier in the old port of Montreal. The cruise leaves at 7pm and gets back at 11pm.

HOW DO I REGISTER: The cost of the activity is $75 CAD. You can register for this event through our online registration page. Note that the boat can only accomodate the first 170 participants who sign up.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Walk - You will have no problem getting there by foot from the McGill residences within 30-45 minutes. The fastest way is to walk down St-Laurent Blvd (from the residences, take a left on Prince-Arthur (go East) and right on St-Laurent, about 5 blocks away) all the way to the rue de la Commune in the old port of Montreal (you will go through Montreal's Chinatown). Look for signs for King Edward Pier, it should be right in front of you.

Cab - If you prefer not to walk, there will be cabs at the NRH entrance between 6:15pm and 6:35pm. Participants will be able to meet up with other colleagues attending the cruise in the NRH lobby around that time to organize cab rides to the old port.

Subway - You can also get there by subway, although this might not be the fastest way. The closest metro station is Place d'Armes on the orange line.

Click here for more maps of the old port and the metro station surroundings.

VEGETARIAN MEAL: If you would prefer to be served a vegetarian meal onboard, please email Julie Héroux and let us know ahead of time.

For more information, contact Julie Héroux.
