Integration of immigrants and visible minorities in Quebec and Canada
Thursday, February 22, 2024
A recent CIRANO report by Brahim Boudarbat (Université de Montréal, CIRANO) and Idossou Marius Adom (International Monetary Fund) concludes that integration into the job market in Quebec and Canada is determined more by belonging to a visible minority than by being an immigrant. Even if they were born in Canada, members of visible minorities seem to struggle to carve out a place for themselves in the job market.
During this symposium, Brahim Boudarbat will present the highlights of his study. A panel of people from various backgrounds will then discuss the issues involved in welcoming and integrating immigrants to Quebec. |
