On February 6, 2020, CIRANO and ADRIQ-RCTi jointly organized a Forum on the theme of "Humans at the Centre of the Digital Transformation". Conferences, panels and exchanges were on the agenda with discussions on skills development, training issues in the workplace, measures to help and support companies as well as factors favouring the digital transformation of companies.

On February 10, 2020, at CIRANO, Mr Richard Payette, President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Quebec from September 2016 to December 2019, shared his experience during a networking reception gathering researchers and business people. His presentation was on "The Age of Audacity: Initiating Transformation". Richard Payette shared his experience as an executive, including at Manulife, and his thoughts on the necessary transformation of businesses and the economic development issues facing Quebec.

The Cohort of Avant-Garde@CIRANO met on February 19, 2020 on "What’s at Stake? Societal Impact of Artificial Intelligence". With guest speaker Catherine Feuillet, Vice-President of the SKEMA Global Lab in Augmented Intelligence and former French Consul in Montreal (2015-2019)
The Avant-Garde initiative aims to create a privileged place for interdisciplinary exchanges and the development of a network of people under 45 with leadership potential.
