	The CEO Seminar on September 24 welcomed Andrée-Lise Méthot, Founder and Managing Partner of Cycle Capital Management (CCM), the most important cleantech venture capital investment manager in Canada. École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP) becomes a CIRANO partner
	The École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP) joined the CIRANO’s partners on September 26 and thus becomes our 12th university partner. Guy Laforest, Director General of ENAP, sits on the Board of CIRANO. More information

Academic partnership between CIRANO and IVADO
	At the launch cocktail of the activities of the 25th anniversary of CIRANO on September 18, CIRANO and IVADO formalized their academic partnership. This partnership aims to foster the study and understanding of the socio-economic impacts of technological advances in data science. More information

CIRANO partner of the Disability, Employment, and Public Policies Initiative
	Launched on September 21st, the Disability, Employment, and Public Policies research project aims to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of the labor force participation and job retention of individuals with disabilities. Several experts are working on this initiative including Charles Bellemare and Guy Lacroix, both CIRANO Fellows. More information

CIRANO participated in the AQEUS convention
	CIRANO presented its projects to improve economic and financial literacy at the convention of the Association Québécoise des enseignants en univers social (AQEUS) which was held in Gatineau at the Université du Québec in Outaouais on October 11 and 12, 2018. More information

Jean-Marie Dufour elected Fellow of the International Association for Applied Econometrics
	Jean-Marie Dufour, William Dow Professor of Political Economy at McGill University and CIRANO Fellow, was elected Fellow of the International Association for Applied Econometrics. More information

Marine Hadengue has won three awards for her thesis
	Marine Hadengue, post-doctoral researcher at CIRANO and at École polytechnique (France), has won three awards for her thesis entitled "L’innovation inverse: Vers un nouveau modèle d’innovation globale pour les entreprises" which was completed at Polytechnique Montréal under the direction of Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin (Polytechnique Montréal and CIRANO) and Thierry Warin (HEC Montréal and CIRANO). Paul Lanoie received the Decade Award for one of his scientific paper
	Paul Lanoie received the Decade Award from the Academy of Management Perspectives magazine for his article entitled "Does it Pay to be Green? A Systematic Overview" co-written with Stefan Ambec (Toulouse School of Economics and Institut de la recherche agronomique). More information

A major study on the effects of advice provided by Québec’s pharmacists
	Guy Paré (HEC Montréal and CIRANO Fellow) and Stéphanie Boulenger (Government Partners Relations Director at CIRANO), in collaboration with Aude Motulski of the CHUM Research Center, published a study on the frequency, nature and effects of advice provided by community pharmacists in Québec. More information

Does exposing the population to factual information influence their support of economic policies?
	This CIRANO study, using the case of the minimum wage increase as an example, leads to the conclusion that providing facts to the population proves to be a major determining factor for changes in terms of supporting and adhering to economic policies. More information
