Brenda Berkelaar - Crafting sustainable work, health, and life in the age of smart machines

This summer Brenda Berkelaar, CIRANO Associate Researcher, led a 2-day workshop on "Artificial intelligence: Crafting sustainable work, health, and life in the age of smart machines" for the Global Academy at The University of Texas at Austin.

This introductory course considered the roots and evolution of AI as a foundation for investigating the challenges and opportunities of crafting ethical, effective, and sustainable work, health, and life at a time when the world is both enamored and uneasy about the promises and perils of smart machines.
