Biography

A CIRANO Researcher and Fellow since 2014, Annie Savard is Associate Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University.

Holding a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Université Laval, her research interests mainly centre on the development of mathematical skills which contribute to the positive reinforcement of citizenship and community life, both from the teaching and the learning perspective.

Annie Savard taught at the elementary level for almost fifteen years, and was an author, consultant and trainer for the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec. She was also a consultant and trainer for various school boards across Quebec, as well as for international research and development institutes.
