Biography

A CIRANO Researcher and Fellow since 2008, Samir Amine is Full Professor in the Department of Industrial Relations at Université du Québec en Outaouais. He is also Associate Professor at Université Laval.

Holder of a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Le Havre, his research interests focus on labour economics, particularly on labour market institutions, the design and evaluation of public policies, and redistribution and return-to-work incentive policies. His research has been funded by the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and other organizations at the national and international level.
